In the Atelier

The Atelier & The Maker

Inside the Walled Garden Atelier

To create an artwork is to build a quiet sanctuary — an invitation to step away from the ceaseless noise of the modern world and rest within gentle light.

Kaushiki Srivastav is an independent painter and botanical artist working from a restored stone outbuilding beside an overgrown Victorian walled garden in the West Country.

Her work draws upon historical European botanical treatises, romantic 19th-century atmospheric landscapes, and the quiet magic found in solitary woodland walks. Working with handmade earth pigments, cold-pressed walnut oil, and French cotton rag paper, she creates pieces that feel as though they were unearthed from a forgotten fairytale archive.

Original works are offered in small seasonal salon releases, while limited archival print editions are produced on heavy Hahnemühle cotton paper.
