In the Atelier
“To create an artwork is to build a quiet sanctuary — an invitation to step away from the ceaseless noise of the modern world and rest within gentle light.”
Kaushiki Srivastav is an independent painter and botanical artist working from a restored stone outbuilding beside an overgrown Victorian walled garden in the West Country.
Her work draws upon historical European botanical treatises, romantic 19th-century atmospheric landscapes, and the quiet magic found in solitary woodland walks. Working with handmade earth pigments, cold-pressed walnut oil, and French cotton rag paper, she creates pieces that feel as though they were unearthed from a forgotten fairytale archive.
Original works are offered in small seasonal salon releases, while limited archival print editions are produced on heavy Hahnemühle cotton paper.
Original paintings on Belgian linen and hand-illuminated botanical studies currently available for private acquisition from the atelier.
